Delete your account

This page explains how to delete your account in Porchly, the app for giving away and finding free things nearby, operated by Porchly by Owais Builds. You can do it in the app or, if you no longer have the app, by email.

In the app

Open Porchly and go to the You tab.
Tap Settings.
Tap Delete account and confirm.

You’re signed out straight away. Your listings disappear from Porchly, any open requests are released, and people you were arranging a pickup with see that you’ve left Porchly.

Without the app

Email kowais915@gmail.com from the email address you sign in with, with the subject “Delete my Porchly account”. To make sure nobody else can delete your account, we may ask you to confirm by replying from that address. We reply within 7 days.

What we delete

Your profile: display name and email address
Your listings, including their photos and private pickup details
Requests you sent and requests on your items
Your messages
Saved listings, saved searches and alerts
Your push notification token

These are removed from our live systems within 30 days, and from backups within 90 days.

What we keep, and for how long

Reports you made, or that were made about you, together with any messages or listings attached to them, for up to 2 years, so we can stop banned people coming back and help authorities if someone was harmed.
Purchase records for Porchly Plus, for as long as tax and accounting law requires. These don’t include your listings or messages.
Anonymous statistics, such as how many items were picked up in a week, which can’t be linked back to you.

Cancel your subscription first

Deleting your account does not cancel a Porchly Plus subscription. Cancel it in Google Play subscriptions so you’re not charged again.

Only want to delete some data?

You don’t have to delete everything. In the app you can delete any of your listings, remove saved listings and saved searches, and turn off notifications. For anything else, email kowais915@gmail.com.
